Prior to joining frank. Pet Surgeons. in June 2021, Cerys worked part-time in the education department of Dudley Zoo and Castle, a role which gave her lots of hands on experience with a variety of animals.
Cerys has a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and is delighted to join the frank. Pet Surgeons. team as an Animal Care Assistant, a role which she says is a first step into the veterinary industry for her and the chance to work alongside amazing vets and nurses who provide gold standards of care for our pets.
Whilst Cerys enjoys the varied caseload and preparing instruments for surgery, her favourite part of the job is having 1 to 1 time with the pets and giving them much needed TLC after their surgery.
The frank. ethos of fixed pricing, and open and straightforward communication with pet owners is something which Cerys feels strongly about, as owners know what to expect and are not deterred from getting help and care for their pets.
Cerys enjoys walks in the countryside with her partner and visiting their families in the Midlands. Cerys has 2 guinea pigs, Ziggy and Leia, 2 rats Aela and Astrid, a small snake Cornelius and 13 giant African land snails.
Cerys is keen to progress her career in veterinary and her long-term goal would be to qualify as a veterinary nurse.
