Leah has previously worked as a student veterinary nurse for 3.5 years in first opinion where she learned the roles and responsibilities at Askham Bryan college but decided to take a break from studies. This is something she will return to as it's always been a huge passion for her to care for unwell animals. After this Leah went into pet insurance for Admiral as a veterinary claims assessor, where she was still able to apply the knowledge she had learnt previously in settling claims for customers. Leah missed the veterinary lifestyle, being at the frontline helping patients and this is where she started at frank. Pet Surgeons.
Leah enjoys seeing all the animals make it after surgery wagging their tails back to their owners, knowing the team did a good job caring for them. She also enjoys being a surgical ACA prepping patients and surgeons for surgery and seeing all the most complex surgeries we do here.
In her spare time, Leah enjoys being outdoors, going to roller rinks and skateparks on her roller skates to learn new tricks. Leah is a huge photography and art enthusiast which she has done, in her spare time, since GCSE. Leah is a huge lover of vintage clothing and charity shopping and loves nothing more than to find hidden gems from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
Leah has a crazy cat called Cleo, which she rescued at 3 weeks old, while being a student veterinary nurse at Vets 4 Pets.
