Ana qualified at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain in 2015. After graduating she completed a number of externships and volunteered in a dog shelter until she started working in general practice for almost five years.
Ana then spent a year working as a junior clinician in soft tissue surgery in a referral hospital in Valencia. Ana subsequently moved to the UK, where she worked for 18 months in a first opinion practice and then completed a rotating internship at a large, multi-disciplinary veterinary hospital in Birmingham. Ana joined frank. Pet Surgeons. as a surgical intern in January 2025.
Ana has a broad interest in surgical procedures, with a particular focus on minimal invasive surgery. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Minimally Invasive Surgery with the University of Extremadura in Spain in 2019. Ana is currently pursuing a certificate in Soft Tissue Surgery, obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma certified by the Barcelona University.
In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, watercolour painting and reading.
