Kayleigh has worked in the veterinary industry since 2009, initially in a first opinion small animal practice, then in a referral hospital where she gained her level 3 diploma in 2013. She then worked for a veterinary charity hospital, before moving into a management role as deputy head nurse at a large referral hospital with 11 branch practices. Much as she enjoyed the challenge, Kayleigh missed the hands-on nursing, and joined frank. Pet Surgeons. in October 2019 as a surgical nurse. As well as having a keen interest in anaesthesia, analgesia and imaging, Kayleigh really enjoys spending time reassuring and soothing patients both pre-op and during their recovery.
In her spare time, Kayleigh enjoys spending time with family and friends, and also loves getting out and about in the countryside, either with her husband, or on Kato, a horse that she part shares. She doesn’t have time for a pet of her own, but regularly steals Jeff, her sister’s Shih Tzu.
