Laura Marques da Costa

Laura qualified from Veterinary Medicine Faculty at Lisbon University in 2021. Since that time she has developed an interest in surgery. She spent one year in general practice where she was exposed to a wide variety of surgical cases. With the aim of increasing her professional skills, she decided that her future would be in the UK. Laura came to the UK in 2022, where she completed a rotating internship in a referral hospital in Scotland. In 2023, she joined frank. as a surgical intern.

Laura is particularly interested in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic and neurosurgery. She is currently undertaking Small Animal Advanced Certificate with Liverpool University.

Laura is looking forward to increasing her abilities in surgery within the frank. team, which she believes shares similar values with – a motivated, transparent, open to share and discuss ideas and with a high standard care team.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys playing football and swimming. She also enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends. She has a special interest in youth football coaching and photography.
